Personal Trainer Strength Conditioning Working Sports Scotia GlenvilleSports performance training workouts and routines are constructed to prepare your child for their sport. For example, a rower has different training than a rugby and a soccer player. A quarterback does not need to train like a lineman. A soccer player does not need to train like a basketball player. However, if your child wants to be a pitcher, a lineman, a goalie, or a guard, then introducing the correct movement patterns and routines dealing with strength, agility, endurance, and speed are essential. Sports performance training is geared toward the exact motions and exercises with the same motions and actions on the field.

Speed is highly related to the amount and rate of which force is produced. Therefore, strength (both absolute and relative strength) and power capacity are both crucial for speed development.

Power is explosiveness, the ability to move weight with speed. For example, a strong lower body can do a heavy squat slowly, but it can’t necessarily generate the power to do the same lift with speed. The definition of power is producing the greatest amount of force in the shortest possible time.

Agility involves reactive abilities in unpredictable environments, whilst change of direction speed focuses purely on physical ability and is typically performed in pre-planned environments.

The capacity to manage movement throughout a variety of motion is what defines mobility.

When an athlete is accelerating, they need to overcome inertia, which is the tendency of an object to resist changes in its direction or speed. In order to do so, the athlete must exert a substantial amount of force onto the ground, which propels them towards a higher velocity.

Consistent exercise can enhance the strength and resilience of muscles, joints, and ligaments, leading to a more robust injury prevention mechanism.

I have been training with Kyle for several months now. I decided to try personal training to help with stiffness and pain and to get myself active again after not being so active during the pandemic. I look and feel better, I’m stronger , my balance has improved, along with my energy levels! I’m so grateful to have found upstate strength and conditioning and Kyle!

I’m so glad to have found Upstate Strength & Conditioning! The owner Kevin and his staff are amazing! The gym is clean, quiet, and professional and individual needs are identified and catered to! I have been working with Nicole for one on one training for 5 months. Four years ago I suffered a head injury and found it difficult to exercise. Nicole has developed a unique program for me and not only have I lost weight, I have gained, muscle, stamina, and most importantly balance! Joining Upstate was one of the BEST decisions I have ever made for myself!

Kevin is extremely professional and knowledgeable at every single session. I can ask him anything and realistically select any goal and he will help me achieve this. So far he has helped me reach my first goal with ease and i am looking forward to continuing working with Kevin in the future to achieve all of my short and long term fitness goals.
I feel much better since Kevin has been training me both mentally and physically.
Highly recommend Upstate Strength & Conditioning!

Kevin is a great, knowledgeable, professional trainer who’ll customize a program for your specific needs tracking your progress and adjusting the workouts as necessary. There’s also a family discount so my daughter and I train together but at different levels and often different workouts. Kevin keeps track of it all and makes sure we do each exercise correctly. We absolutely love USC.

I’ve been working with Kyle for a little while and I’ve been very impressed with how knowledgeable he is. On top of that, I’ve never had a trainer care so much about results that work for me, not necessarily following a “one size fits all model.” Definitely a data driven guy and one I would trust to get anyone in shape.

5/5 stars is not enough for Upstate Strength and Conditioning. They deserve at least 12 stars. I had the pleasure of working with Nicole this summer and it was the best experience. The facility is clean, well kept, and has a great variety of equipment. The staff is friendly and greeted me by name when I came in. They were super flexible with scheduling my training sessions. The sessions pushed me and were tailored to me. I absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking to make a change, learn new things, or just wants to see what they are capable of.

I’ve been working with Nicole at USC for about 6 weeks. The workouts she has planned for me are challenging and effective. I have noticed positive differences in my strength and body composition from the consistent 1-on-1 training schedule. All of the staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is spotless. This is a great place to workout!

Great gym, well maintained equipment and its clean!! Kyle has kept me coming back. Even with once a week for now, better than nothing! I feel its worth it and contributes to overall health and wellness. I like Kyle’s style of training, approach, flexibility in scheduling one on one training, and he also shows he cares and enjoys what he does too. Thank you Kyle, and keep up the great work 🙂
